Your Challenge & Tasks

MavieMe is the health-test startup of Mavie Next. We help customers get a better understanding of their health, using home blood tests and home gut microbiome tests (with many more products in the pipeline!). We currently sell in Austria / Germany but have ambition to become Europe’s leading ‘health from home’ brand.


MavieMe has an ambitious pipeline of product development, and we’re looking for an experienced developer to join our team and help shape the future of MavieMe. You will work alongside the tech teams of MavieMe as well as Mavie Next, as we build integrated platforms.


Your main responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end (agile) software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
  • Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
  • Develop visually engaging front-end website architecture as well as transforming designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code
  • Engage with (graphic) designers and front-end engineers on web design features
  • Develop back-end applications and collaborate with back-end engineers to create reliable APIs
  • Develop and maintain functional databases, responsive applications, and servers to support the back end
  • Lead the project from conception to finished product and address both technical and consumer needs
  • Stay up to date on cutting edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors
  • Consider and include non-functional requirements (e.g. security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability) when architecting solutions

Job requirements

What you need to be successful

  • Educational background or extensive professional experience in Computer Science
  • 10+ years' work experience as a full stack developer
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Next.js, React and Node.js frameworks
  • Experience working with languages such as Python and TypeScript
  • Experience working with E-Commerce topics such as SEO page optimization, payment gateways, and tracking setups.
  • Experience working in client-server environment, headless CMS and app authentication flows
  • Experience in API design and development
  • Comfortable with using package managers such as npm and asset bundlers such as webpack.
  • Experience and knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms
  • Experience and knowledge of ‘Infrastructure as Code’ (IaC), such as Terraform

Due to legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Our salary range for this position starts at 65.000 €. Based on your experience and qualifications, our final offer will be a competitive market value-based salary.
