The Role

At Mavie, we're building a modern, secure, and scalable IT environment that helps our teams work seamlessly across devices and locations.

We're looking for a motivated IT Workplace Technician (Student) to join our IT team part-time (up to 20 hours per week). This role is ideal for students in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field who want to gain hands-on experience in workplace IT.

You will support and improve our Microsoft 365-based workplace environment, with a focus on endpoint management through Intune, user support, device management, and IT operations across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.

Working closely with developers and colleagues across the business, you'll help deliver a secure, reliable digital workplace while contributing to automation, process improvements, and day-to-day IT support.

  

Your Challenges / Tasks

  • Implement, operate, and maintain our endpoint management environment using Microsoft Intune (macOS, Windows, and BYOD for iOS & Android) 

  • Support and improve our Microsoft 365 environment, especially around identity, access, collaboration, and security 

  • Help manage and evolve our BYOD setup, balancing security and user experience 

  • Provide end-user support across the organization, ensuring a smooth and reliable IT experience 

  • Handle incidents and service requests in a structured and efficient manner, following defined processes and documentation standards 

  • Support the administration of tools such as 1Password, Notion, Jira, and Confluence 

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls and endpoint configurations 

  • Contribute to improving ITSM processes, including workflows and documentation 

  • Support ISO 27001-related activities in daily operations (e.g., documentation and controls) 

  • Help automate and improve recurring IT tasks (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, device setup) 

  • Work closely with developers and other teams to ensure a stable and reliable IT environment 

  • Maintain documentation and provide guidance to end users when needed 

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field

  • Strong interest in workplace IT, cloud technologies, endpoint management, and IT operations

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and cloud-based collaboration tools

  • Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems

  • Understanding of basic IT concepts, including user management, security, networking, and troubleshooting

  • Interest in mobile device management (MDM) and modern workplace technologies

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies

  • Structured, proactive, and service-oriented working style

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a small team
